There are a few commercial opportunities out there, created by this dreadful pandemic. Due to the temporary closure of their successful 140 seat café, a well known Yorkshire Farm Shop, has asked us to restore and repaint their well used, 10 year old fleet of Lloyd Loom Bistro chairs (as seen on the left side of photo). The restored chairs are painted in Graphite, one of the standard colours available here at Lloyd loom Manufacturing.

The Classic Bistro chairs are ready to give many more years of service at a fraction of the cost of buying new ones. (By the way, new ones are in stock and available to order!)

At Lloyd Loom manufacturing we use the finest paints and skilled hand finishing techniques to give our Lloyd Loom furniture the quality finish our British handcrafted furniture deserves.

As we are a genuine British manufacturer based in Spalding the UK, we are able to offer colour matching and a wide selection of colours from many of the leading paint houses. At Lloyd Loom we extensively use the waterbased paints which carry the industry’s lowest eco-rating, with VOC content virtually zero. This means you don’t need to worry about solvent contributions to the atmosphere or the smell; they are virtually odourless.

Our indoor traditional weave Lloyd Loom furniture is available in any of our standard 12 colours – samples of these are available from your retailer or from the company. You can select any of these colours at no additional charge.

At Lloyd Loom Manufacturing we spray all our Lloyd Loom furniture with a specifically formulated paint, designed to be durable with an attractive finish. Whilst we have selected a broad range of colours for our standard offering we understand that they will not be to everyone’s taste – that is why we have teamed up with Little Greene Paint (LGP) to provide you with an extended palette.

Little Greene is an independent, British paint manufacturer, committed to the socially and environmentally responsible production of high quality paints. Dating back to 1773, the Little Greene Dye Works on the outskirts of Manchester is one of England’s most historical sites for the making of paints and dye solutions. Here at Lloyd Loom we love the paints’ depth of colour – the deep undertones that subtly change in different lights, showing real character and definition: their complex pigmentation gives an interesting character to the colour. These formulations, and reassuringly high pigment levels give Little Greene’s paints an unequalled depth of colour and a true point of difference.

We can also supply any LGP, RAL or F&B colour at a surcharge. All colours are represented as accurately as the print process allows. Please contact us for swatches if an exact colour match is critical.

Lloyd Loom loves the Galvin Brothers

Lloyd Loom Manufacturing had the pleasure of meeting the Galvin Brothers at May Design Series 2015.

The Galvin Brothers design and make contemporary handcrafted furniture from their workshops in Beverley, East Yorkshire.

Their business was formed as a partnership between Matthew Galvin (designer) and Andrew Galvin (joiner) in March 2012 building on their Father’s 61 years of joinery and cabinet making experience.

The Galvin Brothers designs celebrate the uniquely wonderful properties of English Oak and other solid woods, placing traditional joinery techniques at the centre of contemporary forms — functional objects with a twist.

Just Like our Lloyd Loom chairs the Galvin Brothers furniture is designed and built to last; honest-to-goodness and evenly priced.
